Hello and welcome to everyone at York — and thank you for stopping by the virtual home of the Division of Students. It’s an intense, busy time of year on our campuses. Mid-semester, everyone seems particularly focused: assignments are due, exam preparation is in full swing, the year and everything we want to accomplish in it are slowly winding their way to an end.

In these moments of heightened intensity and — yes — stress, it is important to keep perspective and to remind ourselves of the resources we have at our disposal to help us manage. When the going gets tough, look around you at your support network: your friends and university peers, your family — and also the wider York University community. York, with its more than 60,000 students, faculty and staff from more than a hundred countries, offers a richness and diversity of support services. Our campuses are bustling with possible connections. Whether you could do with some academic help, would like some assistance in dealing with stress or time-management challenges or just need a place to let off some steam (think athletics or other student clubs), you’re not alone.

When we say at the Division of Students that we’re “Partners in Student Success,” we really mean it, and we define success broadly: your academic self, your personal self, your professional self. We’ve got your back. Never hesitate to reach out to us if you need help or think we could be doing better.

Keep calm, good luck and see you around campus.
