Student Support Certificate
The Student Support Certificate program is open to all York employees who interact with students.
Experts from across York have come together to share with you insights on student resources and how to make informed and effective referrals to York's student services, including financial, career development, and international student supports. By learning about student supports available across the University, we strengthen our collective capacity to respond to student needs and foster a more caring and positive community.
The Student Support Certificate program involves a series of self-paced and instructor-led courses — 3 mandatory and 4 of your choice — totaling approximately 10 hours of coursework. Once completed, the Certificate will appear on your employee learning record.
It's easy to get started today! Here's how:
- Visit YU Learn and log in with your Passport York credentials.
- Click Learning Opportunities in the left-hand menu. (Look for the magnifying glass icon!)
- Click the Programs tab and look for the Student Support Certificate listing.
- Find and register for upcoming courses under the Available Sessions heading.
- Spread the word and share this opportunity with your colleagues!
